51st Annual IAEA Conference

The process to attend the conference is as follows:

1. Check if you require a visa to travel to Canada for the conference by reviewing the document here. The 2026 IAEA is officially registered with the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) (Government of Canada). The IRCC has issued a Special Event Code for visa applicants to use while applying for their visa. Please e-mail us at info@iaea2026.org to obtain the code.
2. If you require a visa, you may need to submit the following:
   • An invitation letter from the conference host. To receive a personalized invitation letter for this purpose, e-mail info@iaea2026.org with your name, title, organization and address.
   • A confirmation of registration for the conference. On the conference website, www.iaea2026.org, click the “Register Now” button to complete this process.
   • A confirmation of hotel accommodation. On the conference’s website, www.iaea2026.org, click the “Book Your Room” button to complete this process.
   • If any other documents are required, please let us know by e-mailing info@iaea2026.org. We are here to support you throughout your travel arrangements.

Yes. We have negotiated a discounted rate for a block of rooms at the conference venue hotel and additional hotels nearby. Please note that there are only a limited number of rooms blocked at the conference venue and at additional hotels. For reference only, below are the discounted rates in Canadian dollars that will appear when you click the link for each of the hotels. For your convenience, we have also provided the conversion in U.S. dollars (USD), which is based on rates as of January 12, 2026.

Note:

• Negotiated rates for IAEA conference delegates, provided in the table above, are about 30% less than the publicly available rates.
• Each room has the option for single occupancy (king bed) or double occupancy (two queen beds). There is no additional charge for double occupancy.
• The current hotel tax rate includes 8.5% Municipal Accommodations Tax (MST) on the rate, 13% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) on the rate and 13% HST on MST. Please note that these taxes may change based on provincial and federal laws at the time of booking.
• The first column of the table lists the walking distance from each hotel to the conference venue. These hotels are within easy walking distance of the venue. Given this close proximity, we have not organized separate transportation between these hotels and the venue.

On the registration portal, you can make payments using your credit card, debit card, a Stripe account or Google Pay. You can also make a payment using wire transfer (SWIFT) from a bank. You will receive an invoice to make the wire transfer payment once you complete your registration.

The official call for presentation abstracts closed on April 17, 2026. However, while the presenter lineup is now locked in, the opportunity to participate is still open! We have an excellent lineup of global keynote speakers, assessment innovators, and industry leaders taking the stage in Toronto. Yes, you can attend the conference as a participant only, without submitting an abstract for a paper or poster presentation. All you have to do is to register for the event here.

For the paper submission (after abstract acceptance), the typical structure includes an introduction, problem statement, methodology (including data collection), analysis, discussion, and conclusion. It would be great if this could fit within two pages (size 11 Arial font, single line spacing, 1" margins). Once you have your paper ready, please email it to info@iaea2026.org.
Note that submitting a paper is not mandatory for the conference. If you share it with us, we will make your paper available so attendees can familiarize themselves with the background information for your presentation.

The following is the the poster specifications:

• Poster orientation: Posters should be portrait orientation
• Poster dimensions: A0 size (118.9 cm height and 84.1 cm width)

You will be provided with the Terms and Conditions during your online registration process for the IAEA 2026 Conference. You are required to complete a mandatory confirmation checkbox prior to finalizing registration to confirm that you have accepted the Terms and Conditions of the IAEA 2026 conference. Yes, the mid-conference excursion takes place on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, featuring a guided tour of Niagara Falls, an iconic boat ride, a seated lunch overlooking the falls, and a visit to historic Niagara-on-the-Lake. You can view and download the full timeline, including details on timing, activities, and the description here.

Conference materials (including sponsor booth items, bag inserts, and promotional brochures) can be shipped to the convention centre according to the guidelines outlined here.

Each exhibitor receives a 6m² exhibit space (approximately 8 ft wide x 8 ft deep). Booth furnishings are provided as follows based on your sponsorship level:

• Platinum Sponsors: High-visibility placement in the exhibition hall, along with one 8 ft x $ 2.5 ft table and two chairs.
• Gold, Silver, and Other Sponsors: Standard placement in the exhibition hall, along with one 6 ft x 2.5 ft table and two chairs.
