What is the process for an international delegate to attend the 2026 IAEA conference?
The process to attend the conference is as follows:
- Check if you require a visa to travel to Canada for the conference by reviewing the document here. The 2026 IAEA is officially registered with the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) (Government of Canada). The IRCC has issued a Special Event Code for visa applicants to use while applying for their visa. Please e-mail us at info@iaea2026.org to obtain the code.

- An invitation letter from the conference host. To receive a personalized invitation letter for this purpose, e-mail info@iaea2026.org with your name, title, organization and address.
- A confirmation of registration for the conference. On the conference website, www.iaea2026.org, click the “Register Now” button to complete this process.
- A confirmation of hotel accommodation. On the conference’s website, www.iaea2026.org, click the “Book Your Room” button to complete this process.
- If any other documents are required, please let us know by e-mailing info@iaea2026.org. We are here to support you throughout your travel arrangements.

Is there a discounted rate for hotel accommodation?
Yes. We have negotiated a discounted rate for a block of rooms at the conference venue hotel and additional hotels nearby. Please note that there are only a limited number of rooms blocked at the conference venue and at additional hotels. For reference only, below are the discounted rates in Canadian dollars that will appear when you click the link for each of the hotels. For your convenience, we have also provided the conversion in U.S. dollars (USD), which is based on rates as of January 12, 2026.

Note:
- Negotiated rates for IAEA conference delegates, provided in the table above, are about 30% less than the publicly available rates.
- Each room has the option for single occupancy (king bed) or double occupancy (two queen beds). There is no additional charge for double occupancy.
- The current hotel tax rate includes 8.5% Municipal Accommodations Tax (MST) on the rate, 13% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) on the rate and 13% HST on MST. Please note that these taxes may change based on provincial and federal laws at the time of booking.
What are the different payment methods offered when I register?
On the registration portal, you can make payments using your credit card, debit card, a Stripe account or Google Pay. You can also make a payment using wire transfer (SWIFT) from a bank. You will receive an invoice to make the wire transfer payment once you complete your registration.

When will information about sponsoring, advertising and exhibiting opportunities at the conference be available?

When can I get a template for the poster presentation?
The template for the poster presentation will be provided to all the presenters who have been selected to present their poster at the conference. Notification of acceptance for presenters who submitted abstracts (for paper and poster presentations) is scheduled for April 30, 2026.
How can I become a member of the International Association for Educational Assessment (IAEA) to be eligible for the IAEA conference membership-registration discount?
